When I see you in my dreams,
Your hair is moonlight white.
Your whiskers are a silver grey,
Your brown eyes warm against
The black backdrop of the night.
Your skin is tan and lovely,
Your smile a welcome sight,
And I will love you ever, as before,
And ever more, just as a I do
Right now, my knight in shining amor.

When we big fat Americans are forced to go to work camps
For having our doggerel DNA,
Some will make it and some will not.
Some will survive the starvation conditions
For having so much fat stored in our cells,
But many will be shot for being obstinate like mules.

And some in ignorance will die
Slow deaths of disease
For not knowing the correct version of history.
Anyone who knows the way colonization goes
Will stay away from the more advanced invaders,
And their more advanced immunity,
And will not hanker after
Any free blankets they might offer.

I usually only regret things I didn't do,
And I have a lot of regrets.
I didn't do a lot more thangs than I did.

I sometimes regret things that I've said,
And sometimes things I haven't said,

But mostly I only regret the art I didn't make,
The chances that I didn't take,
The poems that I didn't write,
The songs I didn't sing,
The nights I didn't spend with you.

I regret hanging on too long
To people I felt sorry for.
It doesn't do them any good,
And they're the ones who winding up hurting you.

But mostly I only regret the art I didn't make,
The chances that I didn't take,
The poems that I didn't write,
The songs I didn't sing,
The nights I didn't spend with you.

If you were conceived on this day,
You can grow up and be very strong.
You could be a magician
Or a vagabond.

You could illude or occlude or conclude rightly
And go and live free,

If you're born a boy.

But the horoscope today
Doesn't say
What might be
If you're born sans tadpole tail,

For the stars are still misaligned
For females,
And will be
Til the goddesses return and proper worship is restored,
And even the stars realign with Calliope and the seven sisters.

In dreams I wander in a boat
Along a milky river of the stars,
And one great love shines on my path,
One great face hangs up above,
Just within my reach.

And I reach for you often,
In child-like innocence and glee,
So happy you are always here
With me, so happy, so fulfilled.

Someday we'll see the crazy ones
Were right all along.
Those people they talk to are there
And they are taking over the world.
The CIA is listening.
Self medication is right.
You can see these things are true,
If you open your eyes real fast at night
And look into the darkness.

Someday you'll see that you're the crazy one,
For not believing in angels, aliens, and Sasquatch.
Someday they'll round up all you sane ones
And electric shock you til you do.

Such a curious thing!
Something she's never seen before!
A piece of kitty kibble on the floor
Outside her bowl.
It's not where it's supposed to be.

Like someone you see
Away from where you usually see him,
Or her, and suddenly don't recognize them anymore,
Or pretend not to,
Like baptists at the liquor store.

The cat now gingerly picks the piece up with its paw,
Smells it, and its whiskers quiver.
"What should one do in a case like this?" It wonders,
And I do, too.

Well, how should a practicing catholic greet
His or her priest
In the prophylactic aisle at Walmart?
