When my amnesia suddenly cleared,

And I remembered that I was from Cleveland,

The doctors told me I had to go back,

Even tho it was ten years

Since I had been back there,

Or thought of any aspect of my old life.

I got to thinking about what I remembered,

And most of it was bad,

And I decided that my life in Montana 

Was based on something so much better

Than the reality of my past,

And that I intended to stay.

And furthermore, a bout of amnesia

Might be good for everybody,

Every now and again.
