I have meat, and I have drink
Waiting for me at castle blue.
And I will eat when I get home,
Back to my home at castle blue.
Persephone ate a pomegranate seed.
She was far away from home
In an underworld where she now must stay
All fall and winter, and she can't roam.
So too, I know that I can't eat
This dangerous food in this hasty place.
I will wait to be consumed,
And to consume in a better place--
My castle blue.
And I don't speak in this foreign land,
Except to encourage with psalms and hymns,
Riddles for those with eyes to see
And ears to hear,
And sometimes, I might talk to you,
Can you hear me back there, in castle blue?
