I dance the great ka-china dance,

Clockwise rotation with the sun,

Counterclockwise with the earth,

The dance a cosmic struggle of our Milky Way.

In deep respect and reverence

I show my awe for the ka(respect),

And the china(spirits),

And think of the spirits of the dead,

The minerals, plants and birds,

Human entities and clouds,

Animals and other planets 

And stars that may not yet have appeared 

In our night sky.

And then selfishly,

I dance for you,

Because I want to,

And because I want your love.

A prayer for your victorious way,

And then, I dance wildly for myself,

To keep myself warm

Out here alone by the fire

On this starry winter night.
