It’s a long way back

When you get lost at an early age

And you travel the wrong way for a long time

If you’re lucky, you will stop and see you’ve been misguided

And your liberated efforts weren’t

Really free

But you’ve been bound to a lost trail

Your pride told you you’re not wrong

Don’t be a quitter

And your mind wanted to hear flattering words

So you carried on

And you may think that it’s a long way back

But if we will only find the truth within

We will see that we are already here

And now we can travel in a new direction

Without the burden of our pride

We may make good time now

And maybe still only going nowhere

But at least we’ll be on a good path

When one walks hand in hand with the great spirit

Anywhere one goes is good
