Damaged Goods

Oh, the price of damaged goods—
Much cheaper in the world of freight,
But in the realm of humanity,
So much more the cost.
So expensive to engage
Oneself with damaged goods—
The set back more than an arm and a leg
The heart and the soul will pay.

Though the ticket be so high,
I roll with the expenditure,
Counting the cost of time with you,
My Precious, Damaged Goods.
The amount prescribed by the disbursement
Is worth every penny of the squeeze,
‘Til peace comes to restore your soul, Someday.
