Oh, how I wanted to call you today.
I had to slap my hand back twice
As it reached for the phone.
I shook my head and rolled my eyes
Way back there in the back of my head
To try and see what my mind was thinking,
If there was any brain left in there.
And then I twisted my mouth around
To give myself a good talking to!
“No! No! Bad little girl! Bad little girl!
Don’t call him! Don’t call him!
He doesn’t need this kind of trouble today!
Leave him alone!

But, oh how I wanted to call you today!
