"I know you don't like to carry anything,
But take a little water with you," my friend told me.
I was only going for a walk,
But it was hot,
And anywhere can be a desert when it's 106 degrees.
So I started out
And sipped the water along my way.
I wasn't quite there,
And the water'd gotten hot,
But I poured a little on top of my head,
And it ran down my hair.
It felt so nice and cool in the breeze.
And people around me were dropping out
And complaining about the heat,
And I drank the last bit.
It was hotter now than ever,
But I finished my course
Like a racehorse
Because I had one good friend
And a little bit of water with me.
