If our eyes meet,

Let's say hi.

Let's not continue

Like passers by on an every day route.

Let's recognize the randomness of the exchange.

Let's at least be willing to take a chance.

Glance my way,

And I'll glance yours.

Maybe we could say hi twice?

A smile would be nice.

Oh no! Stop me! I'm dreaming now!

But it's amazing how contagious a smile can be,

And how a smile can start a dream

Even in the middle of the day,

But anyway, 

If we can't bring ourselves to say hello,

Maybe we could say a sweet goodbye?
