I walk in the shade when I can,
And when I can't,
I take my shirt off and walk in the sun
Like a man,
And I don't see anything wrong with it.
I do see something wrong
With the way some cultures try to impose
False shadows.

They've built artificial trees
With fake green leaves
That smell like plastic
And only make more places where "the sun don't shine."
Some of us will whine and try to hide
Under these illusions forever,
Instead of taking our rightful place
In the broad plain light of day.
