I sailed to the Marquesas in a dream,
And became mystified by the exotic vegetation,
Stirred by the ancient markings carved
Into rocks and, instantly, into my mind.

And how can I return
To the bland lifestyle I have known,
When my heart has made a stand?
It says that it will not go back,
And if I go, I go back without it.

My heart is right.
And I can't live without my heart,
Or the enigmatic feelings I have found.
And so we choose to live inspired, together,
In a fascinating dream,
Rather than the previous, one-sided existence,
Mundane, though it was only half-based in reality.
