When you fall down through the sky
And there's nothing to grab onto
Except air,
And you land on your back
With a thud in the desert sand,
Only then can you see
That the sky looks blue from earth,
But you know it isn't.
You know the heavens
For the colorless, vacuous nothing they are.

Only then will you ponder your own true identity,
And wonder what color the sun may be.
