Sometimes I catch my face in a mirror,
Or a reflection on a glass.
My expression is desperate.
I think Heaven's forgotten me.

I remember leaving there.
I said I wouldn't be long.
They're having a party without me.
Heaven's forgotten me.

I wasn't supposed to live this long.
I wasn't supposed to be able to have children,
But I have two!
I'm throwing a party for my children here,
To help them remember Heaven.

But Heaven's forgotten me,
And it may be a while
Before I get the chance to return,
And by then they really won't recognize me.

But that's ok,
Because I remember Heaven
And I remember the way,
And someday they'll remember me.
But not today.
Heaven's forgotten me.
