Illusion is powerful,
Strong to create
Sensations within
That provoke, that elate—
Moving my body,
Making me dance,
To music I can’t hear,
With a man I can’t see.
Eros revived,
Pumping soul’s life,
Connecting persona
To a deep inner reality,
Resolving a poverty
Of attention deficit,
Filling in missing pieces
That bridge and connect,
To allow me to find lighted
Pathways into sweet recesses
And breathless bliss.
And yet, it is all Illusion.
